EM.ASH

EM.ASH is a curator of underground house music on Vancouver Island. He creates a hypnotic mix of deep, groove-infused house and low slung techno.
He has shared the stage with a diverse range of artists such as Fort Knox Five, Rennie Foster, JPOD, Slynk, Humans, Sabota, Deko-ze, Dirt Crew (Felix), Lee Rous (Plump DJs), Westerley, Agent Hooper, Lalu (R.I.P), Emily Spiller, Dubtecha, Mt. Eliah, The M-O-D and many more.
He’s part of Old Growth Productions and the driving force behind DELIGHT, a monthly night in the Comox Valley. He was part of the ATMOSPHERE GATHERING creative team, a 13 year veteran of the infamous Carrington Bay parties and has been featured at Diversity Festival, Cumberland Wild, Big Time Out, Nootka Sounds Festival, Kluth Festival, and countless intimate events.
EM.ASH was featured in the ‘WCU: West Coast Undergound’ mix series in 2010.  He teamed up with local fitness guru Leanne Zdebiak-Eni of Studio IPF, in 2011, to bring Bellyfit Live to Courtenay, supporting local charities and promoting an active, healthy self-image for women of all ages. He was actively involved with the Elevate the Arts festival since its inception and continues work with community groups promoting the arts, culture, and inclusivity.
EM.ASH independently released his debut album ‘heartbeat’ in the fall of 2012. The following two years saw EM.ASH tour with VIMA winner Emily Spiller, DJ in Belize and Mexico and created the DJ duo TeamWork with his longtime friend Agent Hooper.
EM.ASH has remixes released on Haustronaut Recordings, BeatLounge Records and System Recordings. His festival inspired EP ‘Together’ was released in 2017 and his latest EP ‘Earth Keepers’ is forthcoming on RF in 2019.
