DJ MURGE

A sonic alchemist, Murge weaves the eclectic and the electric to create dancefloor- centric beats that fill the space and lift the crowd. No stranger to packed dance floors or epic stages, Murge is a fixture of BC’s electronic music scene, respected and renowned by industry and audiences alike. Embracing a variety of genres, yet always bringing that funky, party-rocking sound, Murge has entranced crowds at Shambala Music Festival, Bass Coast, Rifflandia, Tall Tree Music Festival, Laketown Shakedown and Victoria Jazz Festival respectively.

A world class DJ and skilled producer, Murge has shared stages with Jurassic 5, DJ Shadow, The Beatnuts, Mixmaster Mike of The Beastie Boys, Kid Koala, De La Soul, Fort Knox Five and Girl Talk. With collaboration and creativity in mind, he’s worked with Tegan & Sara, Talib Kweli, Blackalicious and Neighbour; always pushing forward with what he creates.

2019 is shaping up to be a benchmark year for Murge. Following the release of his first original track ‘Ready, Steady’ on Westwood Recordings in February, he’s scheduled to release his first full length album of original music in the summer.
