With authenticity and lyrical finesse, FRASE’s voice blends the classic sounds of Soul, Hip- Hop and Dub and pairs it with production that pushes the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.
FRASE was nominated for “Urban Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards for the album “FRNZ” and Awarded the title of “Electronic Producer of the Year” at the Kootenay Music Awards 2019.
With a hybrid Analog/Electronic live performance: singing, playing guitar, keys and mixing in his productions allows having a foot in two worlds. FRASE is getting booked at world- class electronic music festivals such as Bass Coast, Shambhala and Astral Harvest, and simultaneously rocking the stage at live band focused festivals like Kaslo Jazz, Tiny Lights and Tall Tree.
Amplifying the performance aspect of the live show is dancer, percussionist and vocalist Embody MVMT. The duo’s collaboration began on the subs while opening for Fat Boy Slim
in 2016. They have been a power couple on a mission to Move People ever since. In the past 4 years FRASE has supported and shared the stage with such artists as: Dub Fx, Bonobo, Fat Boy Slim, Noisia, Moontricks, Chali 2na, The Funk Hunters & Delhi 2 Dublin. On April 12th, 2019 FRASE will independently release the new single “Killin’ It For You” and a handful of singles throughout the spring and summer along with festival tour dates in Canada and Europe.
